THE LOCATIONS LISTED BELOW REQUIRE A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE DURING THE WEEK WITH AVAILABILITY ON SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND AROUND HOLIDAYS .

Hiring Locations:

  • MANCHESTER - Full Time/Part Time - 8am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 8am-6pm and 11am-7pm
  • SOUTH COUNTY - Part Time position - 7 am to 3 pm
  • PAGE & LINDBERGH - Part Time position - 7am to 3 pm OR 10 am to 6 pm
  • ST. PETERS - Part Time position - 7am to 3 pm OR 10 am to 6 pm
  • CHESTERFIELD - Part Time position - 7am to 3 pm

This position supports the company through pet activities functions, assuring that every guest has a quality experience and receives all Personalized Playtime and Day Camp activities. Pet Activity Counselors ensure that guests have breed- and size-appropriate activities.
Looking for customer service focused individual that is able to multi-task and ensure customers - both internal and external - are delighted with their Kennelwood experience

DUTIES:

  • Provide pets with one-on-one play time, exercise and socialization
  • Provide Day Camp and Personal Play Time services according to safety procedures
  • Assist dog runner staff when they are backed up with customers
  • Assist in cleaning Day Camp cages
  • Ensure any special pet handling requirements are met
  • Partner with facility/department manager to meet and exceed our customers service expectations
  • Able to work in outdoor climates (i.e. cold, snow, rain, heat)

QUALIFICATIONS
A keen instinct for animal safety, proper procedure and loving commitment for the pets. Ability to stand for extended periods. Able to walk dogs of all sizes on a leash. Lift at least 40 pounds, bend, stretch and work in and around pet hair and dander. Must also be very observant, have strong decision-making skills and be able to work in all weather conditions. Prior experience in a veterinarian's office or hands-on work in a pet care environment is a plus.
